2024: Our Year in Review

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As 2024 draws to a close, we reflect on a year marked by dedication, growth, and unwavering commitment to maternal and child health. Your steadfast support has been instrumental in our mission to serve mothers and babies worldwide.

Here are some highlights from this year:

From September 19th to 22nd, we hosted our 14th International Conference at the Istituto Maria Santissima Bambina in Rome. Themed "I am what I do: Establishing My Identity in Christ," the conference gathered professionals from medicine and ethics to discuss spiritual, bioethical, and professional concerns. The event emphasized our foundation in God, communion with others, and the dignity of work, aligning with the upcoming 30th anniversary of Evangelium Vitae and the 50th anniversary of De Aborto Procurato.

This year, we continued our efforts to improve maternal health in underserved regions. Our programs focused on providing essential obstetric services, training healthcare professionals, and advocating for the dignity of mothers and their unborn children. We are dedicated to upholding the teachings of the Church by improving the lives and health of mothers and babies through new initiatives of service, training, research, and advocacy.

Our community's generosity has been overwhelming. Notably, the Catholic Women's League free-will offering was collected for MaterCare International during an events in 2024. We're also grateful to the communities of Beamsville, CFB Kingston and St. Catherine's. Such contributions enable us to continue our vital work and expand our reach to more communities in need.

Looking Ahead

As we prepare for 2025, we are excited to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Evangelium Vitae. We also look forward to our next international conference in Rome, scheduled for September 2026, where we will continue to address the challenges faced by Catholic healthcare professionals and the communities we serve.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our supporters, volunteers, and partners. Your commitment to our mission enables us to make a meaningful impact in the lives of mothers and babies worldwide. Together, we continue to uphold the sanctity of life and the dignity of motherhood.

Wishing you a blessed and joyful New Year.

Sincerely,

The MaterCare Team
