As we light the first candle of Advent today, symbolizing Hope, we invite you to embark on a meaningful journey with us—a journey of solidarity, compassion, and support for mothers and babies worldwide.
This Advent, MaterCare International launches the “Walk to Bethlehem” Challenge:
🟣 Goal: Walk 140,000 steps—the estimated distance Mary and Joseph traveled from Nazareth to Bethlehem—by December 25th.
Your steps will represent not only the physical journey of Mary and Joseph but also the challenging paths many mothers walk to access safe maternal healthcare. Every step you take and every donation you raise will bring hope to vulnerable mothers in need of life-saving care.
How to Participate:
1️⃣ Join the Challenge: Set a goal of 140,000 steps (around 5,000 steps per day) for Advent.
2️⃣ Spread Awareness: Share your progress and invite friends and family to sponsor your steps.
3️⃣ Support MaterCare: Make a donation or encourage others to give in honour of your journey. Due to the Canada Post strike, the best way to give is online here!
Together, we can walk in the footsteps of Mary and Joseph while helping MaterCare International provide dignity, safety, and hope to mothers and their babies.
📷 Don’t forget to share your journey on social media! Tag us @MaterCareInternational and use the hashtag #WalkToBethlehemForMaterCare.
Let’s step forward this Advent season with hope in our hearts and help in our strides. 💜
✨ Together, we can make Advent a time of meaningful impact. ✨
